On October 16, 2024, we publicly launched DataMonkey on the ‘Product Hunt’ platform — and were completely overwhelmed by the positive feedback from users. New, innovative software solutions are presented on Product Hunt each and every day and users can vote on them for 24 hours. The product with the most upvotes becomes ‘Product of the Day’ — and we were able to achieve second place with DataMonkey, out of a total of 158 teams on the same day. We have now received more than 660 votes, reviews and comments from users — and the positive feedback has absolutely overwhelmed us!

One thing that many users have emphasized is that they like DataMonkey’s intuitive design. As a user of our platform, you can upload your own datasets and combine them with publicly available geodata to gain more meaningful insights — all without any coding or data science expertise. This is how we want to democratize the analysis of geodata, as we know that small and medium-sized companies in particular cannot necessarily afford their own GIS (Geo Information System) experts.

Auf Product Hunt werden jeden Tag neue, innovative Softwarelösungen vorgestellt, über die die User:innen für 24 Stunden abstimmen können. Das Produkt mit den meisten Stimmen wird ‘Product of the Day’ — und wir konnten mit DataMonkey den zweiten Platz erreichen, von insgesamt 158 Teams am gleichen Tag. Inzwischen haben wir mehr als 660 Votes, Reviews und Kommentare von User:innen erhalten — das positive Feedback hat uns absolut überwältigt!

Eine Sache, die viele User:innen betont haben, ist, dass ihnen das intuitive Design von DataMonkey gefällt. Als Nutzer:in unserer Plattform kannst Du Deine eigenen Datensätze hochladen und sie mit öffentlich verfügbaren Geodaten kombinieren, um sinnvollere Insights zu gewinnen — und das alles ohne Programmierkenntnisse oder Data Science Expertise. So wollen wir die Analyse von Geodaten demokratisieren, da wir wissen, dass sich insbesondere kleine und mittelständige Unternehmen nicht unbedingt eigene GIS- (Geo Information System) Experten leisten können.
